Nothing pains us more than to have to tell you that you can’t attend an upcoming luncheon! As Wise Women has grown, it has become more complicated to accommodate late registration requests. Believe it or not, we receive about a dozen late registration requests a month!
The registration deadlines are in place for a number of reasons:
- Our venues in both Overland Park and Lee’s Summit require notice to set up the appropriate number of tables and chairs for our scheduled events.
- Our caterers purchase ingredients at specific times based on the final number of registrants.
- Our speakers and sponsors prepare handouts and giveaways based on the final guest count.
- The final guest list allows our Executive Team and ambassadors to effectively prepare for each luncheon.
We send frequent reminders via email and SMS text about upcoming luncheon deadlines. If you are not already subscribed to receive emails and text messages from Wise Women, we highly encourage you to sign up for those pertinent notifications.
Overland Park luncheons: Registration always closes the Friday before at 6:00 PM.
Lee’s Summit luncheons: Registration always closes the Monday before at 6:00 PM.
Registration for the following month’s luncheons opens at the beginning (11:30 AM) of the Overland Park luncheon. Remember that you can always register for the following month’s luncheon on the same day you attend the preceding month’s luncheon!
Refunds
If you purchase a luncheon ticket and are later unable to attend, whether due to a scheduling conflict or an extenuating circumstance, you may want to request a refund. We aim to show you grace! However, we ask that you please review the eligibility requirements before requesting a refund.
Refunds may be requested no less than 72 hours before the upcoming luncheon.
- If you purchased a ticket for a Wednesday luncheon in Overland Park, this means your request must be submitted before the preceding Sunday at 11:00 AM.
- If you purchased a ticket for a Thursday luncheon in Lee’s Summit, this means your request must be submitted before the preceding Monday at 11:00 AM.
Because Wise Women luncheons are catered events, we give head counts to our caterers and venues by the above times. If you request a refund within the 72-hour window, our caterers will have already purchased the ingredients to prepare your plate.
Except in rare circumstances, refunds cannot be issued if requests are submitted without 72-hour notice of the upcoming luncheon. All refund requests will be reviewed by a member of the Wise Women Executive Team before it is approved or denied.
