History of Wise Women

Having been a single woman, trying to navigate financial matters on her own for many years, Samantha had a vision for creating a safe place for women to come together to learn about and support each other in financial matters.

In August of 2017, that vision came to life as the first Wise Women Luncheon was held in a small meeting room at a restaurant in Lee’s Summit.

The group quickly grew out of that space. Now, with the help of supportive sponsors, they meet monthly at The Stanley Event Space in downtown Lee’s Summit.

“When women attend for the first time, I often hear words like ‘warm, open, inviting and supportive’ when describing their experience. This is truly an exceptional gathering of women who all come to grow and support each other. Everything we do is connected to one of our three priorities…to ‘give, serve and live like never before!’ Wise Women is not a networking group officially, but the connections and support happen organically when you have like-minded women who come together in this way.”
– Samantha Compton, Founder

Beginning in 2021, Wise Women LLC is going beyond a local monthly Luncheon gathering and will begin offering quarterly evening events, bi-annual retirement planning courses, a Wise Women Advancement Fund and ongoing educational resources through their website.
